Ingredients

  3. 1 tbspgarlic mayonnaise
  4. 1 tbspmilk
  5. 1 tbspbutter
  6. 1 pinchgarlic salt
  7. 1mixed herbs
  8. 1personal choice of herbs and spices
  9. bread crumbs
  10. 1bread
  11. 1selection of herbs and spices
  12. 1egg

    pre heat oven to 200ºc

  2. 2

    peal potatoes while boiling a pan of water

  3. 3

    add potatoes to water and allow to boil till soft and easily mashed

  4. 4

    beat an egg and put in a shallow bowl or on a plate

  5. 5

    place bread in toaster and toast till crisp but not brown

  6. 6

    cut of crusts and leave to one side if you have a food processor place toast in there and blitz till bread crumbs if not get a knife and carefully slice the bread in half so that it is half the thickness annd one side is toasted and the other still soft and place back in the toaster

    once the bread is crisp both sides takebout of the toaster and cut up as finely as possible till it is like bread crumbs

  8. 8

    once potatoes are soft drain and mash adding the milk butter and mayonnaise if using until smooth and creamy

  9. 9

    thwn add in the garlic and herbs plus any you wish to use I usually use garlic salt, mixed herbs, spicy Italian, ground black pepper and some sea salt

  10. 10

    mix tilk throughly combined

  11. 11

    make sure your bread crumbs are on a flat surface for ease of coating and that your egg is in a shallow dish for the same purpose

  12. 12

    once potato mix is cool enough to handle mold into and cylindrical shape or your desired shape and carefully roll in egg wash then roll in bread crumbs yo fully coat and place in a baking dish (can be slightly oiled if you prefer)

  13. 13

    repeat the last step until all potatoes are covered heat in the oven for half an hour turning every twn to 15 minutes, ther should be ready in half an hour when golden and crunchy
