  • 700 gramspotatoes
  • 1 clovegarlic
  • 1 tspground nutmeg
  • 50 gramsenglish cheddar, grated
  • 150 mldouble cream
  • 150 mlfresh milk
  • 7 gramsbutter

  1. 1

    arrange layer of potato slices in a greased ovenproof dish. season lightly add a little garlic nutmeg and cheese

  2. 2

    repeat until all potatoes are used

  3. 3

    mix cream and milk. pour over potatoes and dot with butter

  4. 4

    bake at 170°c for 1 3/4 hours or until potatoes are cooked
