Ingredients

  • 1 eachCornbread (recipe in "breads")
  • 7 sliceOven dried white bread
  • 1 envelopeSaltine crackers
  • 8 tbspButter
  • 2 cupCelery chopped
  • 1 mediumOnion, chopped
  • 7 cupChicken stock
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1Black pepper
  • 1 tbspSage
  • 1 tbspPoultry seasoning
  • 5 eachEggs, beaten

Steps

    Preheat 350. Crumble corn bread, dried white bread, & crackers & combine, set aside. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add celery & onion, cook until transparent about 5-10 minutes. Pour vegetables over cornbread mixture. Add chicken stock mix well add salt & pepper, sage & poultry seasoning to taste. Add beaten eggs & mix well. Cook about 45 minutes.

    I usually omit the celery & onion. I will use onion powder instead & I add alot of sage because my daddy loves it!
