
Easy Apple Upside Down Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F

Make the cake batter according to package directions. Set aside

In the bottom of a 13-by-11 inch pan (or a clean 12 inch cast iron skillet) butter the whole pan, focusing on the bottom.

Evenly cover the bottom of the pan with the brown sugar.

Spread the can of apple pie filling on top of the brown sugar.

Pour the cake batter in the pan evenly.

Bake in the over according to cake mix instructions or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean

Let cool and enjoy with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream :)
