Ingredients

12 servings
  • 3shallots, peeled & sliced
  • 5 tbspbutter, divided
  • 1/2 cupheavy whipping cream
  • 11 ozcream cheese, softened & divided
  • 3 tbspmarscapone cheese
  • 1/3 cupchopped green onions
  • 2 dozenbaguette slices
  • 1salt & black pepper
  • 1 lbcrabmeat
  • 2 ozgoat cheese, crumbled

  1. 1

    saute shallots in 3 tbsp melted butter in skillet over medium heat until tender. add cream, simmer, reduce by 2/3's. reduce heat to low, add 3 oz cream cheese & marscapone. gradually stir in remaining cream cheese, cook until thickened. add green onions, remove from heat.

  2. 2

    preheat oven to 350* brush bread with remaining butter. season with salt & pepper. bake until golden.

  3. 3

    gently fold crabmeat into warm cheese mixture, pour into a 1 1/2 quart baking dish, or evenly into ramekins. sprinkle with goat cheese & broil until golden brown.
