add cumin, tumeric, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

cook over medium heat until soup is boiling and vegetables are tender

if you like your soup chunky, serve as is. I prefer to puree it with an immersion blender before serving.

top with shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, tortilla strips or whatever else you'd like
