Preheat waffle iron

In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients until well combined.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs until combined, and then whisk in the milk and vanilla. Gradually whisk in the butter.

Pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk gently until the batter is evenly moistened. A little bit of lump age is fine. Fold the batter the make sure there are no flour pockets.

Pour a generous .5 cup of batter into the enter of the waffle iron using a rubber spatula to even it out. Cook to desired doneness.

Remove waffle and serve.
