
Betty Crocker Vegetable Soup

As you can tell from the title I found this in an old Betty Crocker cookbook circa 1970s.
Many cookbook companies update their recipes to suit food trends like "low carb" and "glutton free" so recipes like this are lost in the annuals of time.
This is delicious and reminds me of my grandma's soup. That's why I held on to it. The pasta is strictly a preference. The soup really doesn't need it and I tend to leave it out.

In a crock pot, cook beef till brown.

Stir in 1 cup water, bouillon cube, salt, marjoram, thyme, pepper, and bay leaf.

Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

Stir in remaining 4 cups water and V-8.

Stir in all vegetables, heat to a boil, reduce heat, simmer till carrots are tender.

If desired add pasta after this simmer for 7 to 10 minutes.
