Mix flour, sugar, cashews, and nutmeg in a small bowl

Cut in butter with pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles course meal

Press mix into 10" pie pan, pressing firmly against the bottom and sides

Bake for 8 minutes

Mix pears, brown sugar, flour, vanilla, orange rind, and cinnamon until pears are well coated

Pour into pie crust

Bake 20 minutes
