Ingredients

  1. 1chicken
  2. 6oregano leaves (dried)
  3. 6spice seeds
  4. 1vinegar
  5. 1salt
  6. 1black pepper
  7. 1consumo de pollo
  8. 2bay leaves (dried)
  9. 3 lbonion
  10. 1habanero pepper or jalapeño peppers

Steps

  1. 1

    Clean chicken with water and vinegar.

  2. 2

    Cut chicken into pieces then set in a pot.

  3. 3

    Add water into the pot until the chicken is covered.

  4. 4

    Add a little bit of salt, the bay leaves, oregano leaves, spice seeds and consumo de pollo. Leave pot open on fire.

  5. 5

    When boiling starts, cover the pot for 25 - 30 mins.

  6. 6

    Cut onion and set aside.

  7. 7

    When chicken is cooked, take out and deep fry or pan fry.

  8. 8

    After the waited 30 mins, put onion in the soup and leave pot open.

  9. 9

    When soup comes to a boil. Off fire and put lid on.

  10. 10

    Add salt, vinegar and peppers to taste. (If using habanero pepper, do not break the pepper).

  11. 11

    Enjoy. Can be garnished with black pepper.

  12. 12

    Best with hot corn torillas. :)
