  1. 1 1/2 cupApple cider vinegar
  2. 1 cupbrown sugar
  3. 1 cupwater
  4. 6 sliceginger root (1/4" thick)
  5. 3 clovestar anise
  6. 2 tbspcoriander
  7. 2 stickcinnamon
  8. 1bay leaf
  9. 1/2 tspsichuan peppercorns
  10. 1 lbRed grapes, picked and rinsed

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine everything but grapes and bring to a simmer

  2. 2

    Place grapes in a glass bowl or jar and pour brine over.

  3. 3

    Let steep until cool

  4. 4

    Will keep for up to 1 month.

  5. 5

    Peppercorns may be sustituted with 2 jalapenos.
