Preheat oven to 425°F.

Peel, core and slice the apples.

Melt butter in a saucepan.

Mix in flour.

Mix in water, sugar and brown sugar.

Heat until boiling, then reduce heat.

Mound apples in a 9 inch pan with a pie crust in it.

Cover the mounded apples with a latticed pie crust.

Pour the sugar and butter mixture over the latticed pie crust and apples.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and cook for 45 minutes.
