Ingredients

  1. 1 largeangel food cake
  2. custard
  3. 1(8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  4. 1 can(14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  5. 1(12 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  6. glaze
  7. 2 cupsugar
  8. 6 tbspcornstarch
  9. 6 tbspstrawberry Jell-O gelatin
  10. 2 cupwater
  11. 4 cupfresh strawberries, cut in half
  12. 3Whole fresh strawberries and mint leaves, for garnish

  1. 1

    Slice cake, using serrated knife, horizontally into 3 equal layers.

  2. 2

    Mix together cream cheese, condensed milk and whipped topping in a bowl.

  3. 3

    In medium saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch and gelatin; add water.

  4. 4

    Cook stirring over medium heat until thick.

  5. 5

    Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Fold in strawberries.

  6. 6

    Place 1 layer of cake in large clear bowl.

  7. 7

    Top with layer of glaze, followed by a layer custard mixture.

  8. 8

    Repeat layering in this order for remaining cake, glaze and custard.

  9. 9

    Top cake with 3 whole fresh strawberries and fresh mint leaves.
