Pre-heat oil

Dice the meat, add to oil

Fry gently

Add onion (half-rings), fry until golden (not too dark)

Add carrots (solomka), fry for 3 mins or so (don't let it get dark)

Add all spices

Add water (hot), 4 fingers above meat?

Add chickpeas (right after water - if dry, or later if from can)

Cover and simmer (medium heat) until meat is cooked (30 mins then start checking)

Wash and add rice, do NOT STIR

Only 1cm of water above the rice!

Cook on high power, no lid, until water is gone.

Cover and add full clove of garlic and keep 5 mins on the heat, then turn off.
