Sambar vada

Steps

Cook dal, tomato, turmeric and water in pressure cooker for 4-5 whistle.

Head oil to sauté mustard, hing, chillli, onion and curry leaves

Add tamarind and salt, and mix well. Add 1 and 2 together

Adjust consistency by adding water.

Add sambar powder and stir well.

Sambar is ready.

Soak urad dal for 3 hours.

Drain off water until soft paste

Mix matter until air incorporates inside.

Add ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, coconut, hing and flour and salt.

Mix batter again, make balls and shape the vada with a finger.

Deep fry until golden brown

Dip vada into warm water and then squeeze vada with both hands.

Sprinkle chopped onions on it and eat with sambar.
