As a child, I can remember the dread I felt whenever brussel sprouts were presented at the dinner table. Recently, I have decided to tackle this surprisingly delicious vegetable and my family and I now enjoy brussel sprouts on a regular basis!

As a child, I can remember the dread I felt whenever brussel sprouts were presented at the dinner table. Recently, I have decided to tackle this surprisingly delicious vegetable and my family and I now enjoy brussel sprouts on a regular basis!
Steps

melt butter in a pan large enough to fit all ingredients over med-high heat; add onions
- 2
sauté onions until soft and translucent, then add garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes or until garlic becomes aromatic
- 3
place brussel sprouts cut-side down into the pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper
- 4
allow brussel sprouts to cook for 4-6 minutes per side, turning once
- 5
Remove pan from heat and add parmesan cheese
