Hare Bondi ke Laddo

#flavoursofholi
This Holi I don’t have any mood of making the regular sweets. So tried these Hare Bondi Ke Laddo and it’s a big heat here at home and neighbours, family and friends. It’s the normal Bondi Laddo with a new look like the old songs with remix. 😄 These laddoos are green in colour as I have added roasted pistachios in it instead of cashews and raisins. Few drops of pistachios green food colour in the batter for making it a hara/green colour.

Steps
- 1
Make sugar syrup with 1 cup water and 1.5 cup of sugar. The syrup needs to be two string sugar syrup.
- 2
Prepare a smooth batter of 2 cups of gram flour with 1.5 cup of water and a pinch of cooking soda in it. The batter should not be watery or even thick. Add water if you think it’s a thick one. I added pistachios green food colour leaving 1/3 of the batter as normal colour.
- 3
Now heat a kadai with oil for deep frying in medium flame.Pour a spoon full of the batter over the hot oil in a ladle which have number of holes in it, that we use only in frying and all.
- 4
Fry the Bondis formed in it for few minutes and take them out in a absorbing paper. Continue the same process with the remaining batter.
- 5
Now give a rough crush of the crispy bondis in a grinder for a second. Pour approximately half cup of sugar syrup in the crushed Bondis and mix thoroughly. Crush the roasted pistachios and mix with the Bondis
- 6
Now put some ghee on your hand and start making Laddo with the Bondi mixture. Take a handful of the Bondi mixture and start pressing them to make small ball size as Laddo.
- 7
Beautiful Hare Bondi Ke Laddo is ready to serve. Try this recipe, I am sure you will definitely like it too. For Now, enjoy the visual 😊
