  • 2 cupFlour
  • 1 dashSalt
  • 2 cupSugar
  • 1 stickButter
  • 4 tbspCocoa
  • 1 cupWater
  • 2Eggs
  • 1/2 cupButtermilk
  • 1 tspSoda. (In milk)
  • icing
  • 4 tbspCocoa
  • 1 stickButter
  • 1 boxPowdered sugar
  • 1 tspVanilla
  • 1 cupChopped pecans

Steps

  1. 1

    Sift first 3 ingredients

  2. 2

    Bring next 4 ingredients to a boil.

  3. 3

    Add next 3 ingredients to butter mixture.

  4. 4

    Add dry ingredients to butter mix.

  5. 5

    To make the icing: Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil.

  6. 6

    Remove from heat and add sugar, vanilla & pecans

  7. 7

    Pour on cake while it is hot.
