Cheap and Easy Clam Chowder

The truth behind this recipe-I had bare cupboards. I did have a can of baby clams and two cans of cream of potato soup... hmmm. that could probably make clam chowder. And it did. It is just as good as my from scratch chowder recipe. And much quicker and less clean up.

Steps

5 mins
  1. 1

Saute chopped onions in tablespoon of better

  2. 2

Pour in 2 cans of potatoes.

  3. 3

Add in milk with potatos right away. Use your judgement. However thick or thin you want it. Bring to simmer.

  4. 4

Add in seasonings. To taste-if you like other seasonings, or just have others-try them.

  5. 5

Add in clams-use some of the juice-reserve rest in case you want to add more-better to add them try to undo it.

  6. 6

Throw in come parsley-I keep mine chopped in a container in the freezer.

  7. 7

Stir slowly , voila. Yummy clam chowder! You can use chopped clams -the baby clams look a little strange but very tasty. Yum. If I wanted to cook for more people I would boil potatos and add them. And increase milk and seasonings.
