1 lbBraising or stewing steak cubed
1Onion chopped
1Tin baked beans
2Oxo cubes
1 pinchSalt and pepper
5 mediumcarrots sliced

Put all ingredients into a large saucepan and add enough water to come up just below the level of the ingredients. Bring to the boil and simmer for 45 minutes to an hour gently

Serve with dumplings and boiled potatoes
