Ingredients

  1. 2 tbspbutter
  2. 3 tbspflour
  3. 1 cupmilk
  4. 1salt and pepper to taste

Steps

    Melt butter

  2. 2

    Whisk in flour, salt and pepper until smooth.

  3. 3

    Cook until bubbly, approx.1 minute. This is called "roux".

  4. 4

    Heat milk in microwave until warm. Add milk, whisking until smooth.

  5. 5

    Cook until thickened, whisking the entire time.
