Taken from the back of the box of San Giorgio Mafalda pasta. I use Italian flavored ground turkey to give it an authentic Italian flavor with a healthy option.

Taken from the back of the box of San Giorgio Mafalda pasta. I use Italian flavored ground turkey to give it an authentic Italian flavor with a healthy option.

Preheat oven to 375º F

Cook pasta according to package directions

In large skillet, cook meat and onion until meat browns; drain
- 4
Stir in spaghetti sauce, heat to boiling
- 5
Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer 5 minutes

In large bowl, stir together ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, pepper and salt

In 13x9 baking dish, spread 1 cup meat sauce; evenly layer half of the pasta over sauce

Spread ricotta cheese mixture over pasta; sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese
- 9
Repeat layers of meat sauce and pasta

Spread remaining meat sauce over pasta, covering pasta completely
- 11
Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese
- 12
Sprinkle with parmigiana cheese, if desired
- 13
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes

Remove foil and bake 5 additional minutes or until hot and bubbly
