Then add your veg fat and rub in till thoroughly mixed

In a bowl, have your flour

Add yeast and cardamon to flour and mix well

Add sugar and mix well

Add in a little water at a time as you knead, until you have a pliable dough

Keep kneading till the dough is soft

Cover and let rest for a few minutes

Re knead a little, then divide dough to 8 parts and make balls, fold them well

Now roll the balls one at a time to 1/4 inch thick chapati like

Divide the flattened ball to 4 parts, and then place them on a floured surface,till they start rising

Heat your oil, and when the oil has become hot, you now put your quatre mahamri, turn them till they attain a golden colour and are well cooked

Remove from heat, strain the oil in a strainer and finally put your ready mahamris in a bowl.
