Steps

Heat the milk and butter (or ghee) in a saucepan until just warm.

Add the glucose syrup, sugar, and coconut to the milk and butter mixture.

Mix well until the mixture is fully combined.

Finally, add the semolina flour and gently fold it in. Do not overmix.

Grease a baking pan with butter and pour in the mixture.

Garnish with mixed nuts.

Bake in a preheated oven at medium heat until golden.

As soon as it comes out of the oven, pour the warm light syrup over the basbousa and serve.
