This dessert is made with Lotus Seeds also known as Phool Makhana ,it's loaded with dry fruits and has a subtle saffron and cardamom flavour perfect for any occasion or upvaas(fasting).
Steps

Heat ghee in a pan.Roast the lotus seeds in ghee for 3 to 4 minutes by stirring constantly till they become light brown and then transfer on a plate.

Roast the dry fruits in this same ghee for 3-4 minutes by stirring constantly and transfer on a plate.

Now place milk in a vessel to simmer.Add saffron in it.Saffron will give the milk a beautiful colour and flavor.

Now add lotus seeds cashew nuts, pistachios and raisins the milk starts boiling.

Mix the ingredients well and cook the kheer till it becomes thick.

After 10 minutes,add sugar and crushed green cardamom to the kheer and thoroughly.

Lotus seeds kheer is ready, turn off the flame and transfer it into a serving bowl.

Serve this luscious lotus seeds kheer anytime of the day.
