Steps
- 1
Soak rawa in curd or buttermilk for 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper as per taste.
- 2
In the meantime cut bread slices in flower shape with cookie cutter or pattice shaper.
- 3
Chop broccoli and tomatoes. Grate carrot. Crush roughly boiled peas.
- 4
Mix the greens add salt and pepper to them
- 5
Similarly mix reds and add salt and pepper.
- 6
Grate pepper and divide cheese cubes in 8 parts
- 7
Now take one bread slice flower, spread rawa batter on it. On one petal spread green mix and on another petal spread red mix.
- 8
Repeat the process for remaining slices.
- 9
Put the broadside down on medium hot nonstick griddle and roast on slow to medium flame. When done from this side sprinkle some drops of oil, press a little with spatula and flip carefully and cook on rawa side also. It will take approximately 4-5 minutes total roasting both sides.
- 10
You can roast 3 to 4 flowers at one go depending upon the size of griddle you use.
- 11
Sprinkle herbs and chilli flakes as per taste. Serve with tomato ketchup or cheese dip.
- 12
Serve hot as tea time snacks.
- 13
Total time required 30 minutes (20 minutes for preparation + 10 minutes for cooking).
