Ingredients

35 minute
6 servings
  1. 2 cupUrad dal (split black chick pea)
  2. 1 tspBlack pepper crushed
  3. 2 tspCurry leaves chopped
  4. 1Onion chopped
  5. 4Green chilli chopped
  6. as needed sprigs of chopped coriander leaves
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. as neededOil for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak urad daal for 2 hours. After that grind well with just 1 or 2 spoons of water.

  2. 2

    Add chopped onion, chopped curry leaves, chopped green chilli, chopped coriander leaves, crushed pepper corns, and salt.

  3. 3

    Mix well and whisk till batter becomes fluffy.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in kadai. Apply water on your fingers and take batter, with other hand to make hole.

  5. 5

    Now drop in oil and cook till both sides seems crisp. Oil should be medium hot.

  6. 6

    When done take out in plate and serve with freshly made coconut chutney.
