Crispy Potato Tikki

I have used instant upma mix in this recipe but you could use semolina instead. They are crispy from the outside and soft from inside. You can make the shape of your choice and the thickness of the tikki according to your preference, I like them thick.

I have used instant upma mix in this recipe but you could use semolina instead. They are crispy from the outside and soft from inside. You can make the shape of your choice and the thickness of the tikki according to your preference, I like them thick.

In a big bowl add the mashed potatoes, to it add the Gits instant upma mix, onion, ginger and green chilli paste and salt. Mix it well to form a dough. Keep it aside to rest for 15-20 minutes.

Make balls from the dough and flatten them a little. Or you could make the shapes of your choice.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them on medium heat, till they are golden in colour. You could also shallow fry or bake them if you like.

Serve with a sauce of your choice.
