Ingredients

  • 1 pintHalf and Half
  • 1 stickButter (do not use margarine)
  • 1/2 poundgood Smoked Sausage
  • 1 1/2 poundsShrimp (cleaned and deveined)
  • 2 TBSPminced Garlic
  • 2/3 cupchopped Green Onions
  • 8 ozSpiral Pasta
  • 1/4 teaspoonCayenne Pepper
  • to tasteCajun Seasoning

  1. 1

    Sauté the sausage, onions, and garlic. No need for oil as the sausage will render some. Once there is a little oil in the pan, add the shrimp.

  2. 2

    Cook till the shrimp is done. Drain and save oil, set the rest aside.

  3. 3

    Make pasta according to the box.

  4. 4

    Melt the butter into a pan, add the half and half. Bring just short of a boil and add the shrimp mixture and pasta. With the saved oil make a small blonde roux and add it to the pot with the rest.

  5. 5

    Stir well and warm over medium heat until the sauce thickens. Serve with garlic bread.
