I love Nendram Pazham (Ripe Plantains). Keralites make many recipes out of Nendram pazham and one of the simplest recipe is given below. We cook the banana which makes the digestion quicker and serve with Jaggery syrup or honey. These are so healthy and easy to digest that these are given to even babies.

Nendhra Banana is a variety of banana much bigger in size compared to other regular Bananas. These Bananas have a thick and firm flesh even when they become ripe, that makes them suitable for steamed Bananas whereas other varieties start oozing liquid.

These are found mainly in Kerala or in Kerala item stores in other cities. Trust me they are worth giving a try :-)

  3. 3

Add the jaggery in the vessel. I added just 1 tbsp as I like it only mildly sweet. You can add more or even completely avoid it according to your taste.
