Grill tomatoes in coal or in gas flame until it soften.

Peel of grilled tomatoes skin and mash tomatoes.

Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seed, add curry leaves and asafoetida.

Add grated ginger, garlic and green chilli.saute it for 1 minute.

Add turmeric powder,salt and mashed tomatoes.cook for 2 minutes.

As per taste add sugar and lemon juice to make it sweet and tangy. this step is optional and can skip.

Enjoy your grilled tangy tempering tomatoes chutney with paratha or rice.
