I cooked mitai using Husnita Husni recipe but I used water instead.
Steps

In a bowl put flour, yeast, sugar, and margarine, mix well.

Add water little by little as you knead till smooth.

Let rest for 30 minutes while covered.

Then roll out your dough and cut to desired shapes.

Heat oil in a pan.

Deep fry the mitai and keep turning immediately it's on fire till it's golden brown.

When it browns, heat the sugar and water till sticky.

Place mitai in a sticky syrup.

Serve as a snack or with tea.
