Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, then add chopped green chilies and mashed potatoes.

Add all the spices one by one, mixing well.

Finally, add chopped cilantro and mix.

In a separate bowl, mix salt into the chickpea flour and whisk well to make a smooth batter. Set aside for half an hour.

Shape the prepared potato mixture into small balls.

Heat oil in a deep pan. Add a pinch of baking soda to the chickpea flour batter and whisk well.

Coat each potato ball in the batter and fry on medium heat until golden brown.

Serve hot.

Tip: You can also add green peas or paneer to the potato mixture if you like.
