Put flour in a bowl and add a little water, mixing between additions to make a dough- like consistency. Add 1/2 the butter and mix in with your fingers, or in a mixer. Place onto a floured board and roll out to an even sheet.

Spread 1/3 the remaining butter evenly over the bottom half of the sheet and fold over the top half onto the buttered side.

Roll out again to 2x the sheet size. Add the second 1/3 of the butter, spreading evenly over bottom 1/2. Roll out again to 2x, add final 1/3 Butter to bottom half again. Again roll out to 2x size.

Fold in 1/2, then 1/2 again. Chill in fridge for 30 minutes, then roll out to desired size and shape, OR bag and freeze in batches for future use
