Cook daal and keep it aside. Meanwhile cook drumstick, potatoes and carrot with little salt and turmeric. When drumstick is half cooked add diced tomatoes. Keep it aside.

Heat oil in a pan add mustard and jeera after mustard start popping add garlic and curry leaves.

After garlic become golden add cooked vegetables. Add chilli powder and dhaniya (coriander)powder. Cook for 5 mins.

Add cooked daal and add salt to taste. Cook until raw smell goes. Add chopped coriander leaf and serve with rice.
