Panna cotta is one of the most well-known desserts, with its delicate flavor and many variations—it's hard to find someone who doesn't like it! These delicious cups will delight your guests during the holiday season.

To make the panna cotta, first soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 10 minutes. Place the heavy cream and sugar in a small saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring, but do not let it boil. When the cream is just about to boil, remove from heat.

Take the softened gelatin, squeeze out the excess water, and add it to the warm cream. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Pour the mixture into small molds or cups and refrigerate for about 3 hours, until set.

Serve with caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, or simply as is. I served mine with caramel and crushed amaretti cookies.
