Palak paneer is one of my favourite recipes. It's lightly spiced, nutritious, smooth, and has a creamy texture. It's also easy to make and easy to eat!

Steps

Wash the palak or spinach leaves very well.

Boil 3 cups of water in a pan and add bay leaf, Cinnamon stick, black cardamom, black pepper and boil for 2 minutes and stir nicely.

Now add palak or spinach and boil for a minute.switch off the flame. After 2 minutes drain all water and wash with cold water.

Grind it nicely. Don't add a bay leaf in grinder. Make a smooth paste.

In other pot add onion, garlic, green chilli and cumin seeds and make a fine paste.

Heat ghee/oil in pan, add onion paste and saute it for a minute.

Add tomato puree and stir continuously, add garam masala, salt, turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder and saute until oil comes out.

Then add palak puree and stir continuously for 4 to 5 minutes.

Add paneer cubes and mix well.

Add water as per your needed and mix it well.

Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes or more till the palak is cooked and paneer cubes become soft.

Last add kasuri methi and cream (optional)

Switch off the flame.

Palak paneer is ready to eat. Serve with hot chapatis, phulkas, paratha, naan, makai roti or jeera rice. For the amazing colour, don't add too much garam masala. Don't over boil the spinach. You can also add fried paneer. I hope you like the recipe... Thank you!
