Boil the potatoes. Peel and smash them. In a wok heat oil and season the potatoes with mustard seeds, green chillies. Put the seasoning in the smashed potatoes. Add turmeric powder, salt, coriander leaves and red chilli powder. Mix well.

Make a batter of besan and water. Add salt, soda bicarb and pinch of turmeric powder. Mix well till batter is smooth.

Heat oil in a big kadai. Now take one slice, apply coriander chutney. On the other apply the potatoes mixture and cover the slice. Cut into halves of triangle shape. Dip it in the batter and deep fry them in batches.

Serve hot with tomatoe ketchup.
