Ingredients

  • Flour 1kg (1 mudu)
  • Sugar 200g (1 cup heaped)
  • Peak milk evaporated (1 tin)
  • Margerine (butter) 250g (1 sachet)
  • 1Milk flavor
  • Nutmeg 1 small
  • Eggs 2-3 (optional)
  • 1 teaspoonBaking powder
  • 1pince of salt
  • Veg. Oil for deep frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all the dry ingredients that is flour, salt, baking powder, milk flavor and nutmeg. Except for sugar. Whisk eggs if using with milk and sugar and set aside.

    Add butter to the dry ingredients and use your palms to mix till the butter is totally mixed with the flour mixture and a fine crumbs is formed.

  3. 3

    Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and begin to mix till both dry and wet ingredients come together to form a dough. Put your dough on a flat surface and knead till smooth then use a rolling pin to roll the dough (at this point it's easy for me to roll my dough in small parts than all of it at the same time. Cover the dough that you are not working on yet to avoid dry) so it's flat and then cut to desired shape and then fry in small quantities when oil is hot to avoid soaking oil.
