Ingredients

  1. 1 cupurad dal
  2. 2 cupidly rawa
  3. 1 tspfenugreek seeds
  4. For sambar
  5. 1 cupboiled toor dal
  6. 1 tsp eachcumin and mustard seeds
  7. 1 eachchopped onions and tomato
  8. tamarind pulp and salt to taste
  9. 2 sticksdrumstick boiled
  10. 3 tspsambar masala
  11. For chutney
  12. 1 cupfresh grated coconut
  13. 3-4green chillies

Steps

  1. 1

    First urad dal and idly rawa and fenureek seeds soak 7 to 8 hours

  2. 2

    After soak we grind together and keep for fermentation whole night

  3. 3

    Now after ready batter add salt then we steam idly in steamer for 20 minutes

  4. 4

    To making sambar heat oil in pan put mustard seeds and cumin seeds and curry leaves,saute onion and tomato

  5. 5

    Then add boiled mashed toordal with enough water

  6. 6

    Then add tamrind,salt and sambar masala boil 10 mints

  7. 7

    Add boiled drumstick sticks and cover to cook sambar ready

  8. 8

    Ready to serve idly with sambar and coconut chutney
