Ingredients

40 minutes
  • Water Yam
  • Uziza seed
  • Scotch bonnet pepper
  • Seasoning
  • to tasteSalt
  • Groundnut oil
  • Onions

Steps

40 minutes
  1. 1

    Peel your water Yam and grate nicely.

  2. 2

    Beat the yam as though you are making puff puff

  3. 3

    Chop your onions and pepper or preferably, pound them using mortar and pestle to make a rough paste

  4. 4

    So once again, mix all the ingredients together with the grated yam add salt and some seasoning

  5. 5

    In a pan, heat up some oil, once hot make moulds with the water yam mixture and fry till golden brown. Repeat process until paste is exhausted. Note: Add some onions in your groundnut oil to fry before adding the water yam mills it gives a lovely aroma and taste to the finished product

  6. 6

    Best enjoyed hot with some hot chocolate! Yummy
