Steps

Clean the fish and marinate it with 2 tbsp of turmeric powder and 1 tbsp of red chilli powder,2 tbsp of mustard oil and salt as per taste for 10-15 mins.

Heat oil in a pan, deep fry the fish pieces until it became golden brown colour on both sides. It will take 2-3 min on each side. Take out the fish pieces and keep it aside.

Now keep the excess oil in a jar so that you can use further.

Heat 2 -3 tbsp of mustard oil again on that pan. Add mustard seeds and let it crackle. Now add onion ginger garlic paste. And sauté it for 3-4 min until oil starts separating from the masala.

Add 1 tbsp of turmeric powder, 2 tbsp of red chilli powder, 1 and 2 tbsp of cumin and coriander powder respectively. Mix it well.

Add 1 chopped tomato and add salt as per taste. Now add 4 pieces of potato also. Mix it well for 2 minutes then add little bit of water. again mix it well.

Add 1 cup of water and cover it for 15 min on low medium flame, now add fried fish. Stir it for a min cover it for 2 min then add 1 and half cup of water.

Let it simmer for another 6-10 min then add chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame. There you go fish curry is ready.
