Ingredients

  • Tamarind
  • Ginger
  • Cloves
  • Sugar
  • Water
  • For the doughnuts
  • 4 cupsFlour
  • 3 tbspSugar
  • 2 tspYeast
  • Pinchsalt
  • 2 tbspButter
  • 2 tbsMilk
  • 1Egg
  • 1/2 cupluke warm water
  • In a bowl, sieve d flour and add all the dried ingredients
  • Mix everything using ur palms
  • Make a hole at the center of d flour and pour the water, knead
  • for 15-20mins to make d dough very soft n non-sticky
  • Roll n cut out the shape using ur doughnut cutter or a round cup
  • Sprinkle flour on a tray and arrange the doughnut, then cover
  • with nylon bag and place in a warm surface to rise for 20-25mns
  • Fry in oil until golden brown on a low heat

Steps

    Wash d tamarind and pour water over it in a pot

  2. 2

    Add ginger,cloves n sugar. Cover and allow to boil

  3. 3

    Sieve and serve chilled
