Mustard Chicken

Wash the chicken pieces well and drain out the water completely.

In a blender, add ginger, garlic, green chillies, mustard seeds and cumin seeds and make a smooth paste.

Add this paste to the chicken pieces.

Also add to it, lemon juice, turmeric powder and salt.

Marinate for few hours or overnight. Keep this marinated chicken in a foil and steam it in a rice cooker or steamer for about 20 minutes.

Heat oil. Add the cooked chicken and fry nicely on both sides.

Alternatively, you can heat oil and directly fry the chicken pieces in a grill or frying pan till it is cooked. Or you can grill it in oven.

With the steaming method, the chicken is nice and tender and you get good taste of all the flavours. It melts in the mouth.
