Green beans are a delicious green vegetable, coming into season late summer. They're great as a side dish, in curries and tossed into salads. They provide a rich sauce of fiber and a sauce of folic acid.

Green beans are a delicious green vegetable, coming into season late summer. They're great as a side dish, in curries and tossed into salads. They provide a rich sauce of fiber and a sauce of folic acid.

Heat oil in a cooking pan. When hot, add cumin seeds and allow it to sizzle.

Add asafoetida.

Add only the onion part of the spring onions and saute well.

Add the green peas and let it cook for few minutes.

Add carrots and saute for a minute or two.
- 6
Add turmeric powder, maggie masala and salt and saute for few minutes.

Garnish it with the greens of the spring onions and stir fry for a minute.

If you want a more flavourful taste, add crushed ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves in the tadka.
