Take a potato Peel it and grate it using the finest side of the grater. Put the grated potato in water so it won't change colour and we would get rid of the starch as well. Wash the potatoes a couple times until the water is clearer which means starch from the potato has been drained. Now leave it in the water for 5 minutes.

On the other side, take a bowl and add besan, salt, black pepper, chilli to it. Add water to it, little bit at a time so while mixing lumps won't form in besan. Once you have the desired consistency add the green chilli, onions to it. Strain all the water from grated potatoes and add it to the batter.

Heat the tawa and grease it with oil/ghee. put the small portion of the mixture on it and spread it using a spoon in the shape of a chilla.

Cook the chilla a couple minutes from each side. Turn it using a spatula add oil if it's sticking to the tawa. And your yummy potato chilla is ready. You can also add veggies of your choice to the batter to make it more healthier and fulfilling.
