A very simple one ingrediant salad. There is no restaurant or kafana (tavern) in Serbia that doesn't make it daily. It can be eaten every day with almost anything.

Cut the cabbage to thin stripes and put it in a bowl with a little of salt for at least 30 minutes (the longer you keep it there the softer it becomes)

When the time for serving it comes, wrip it vigorously until it loses all the water.

Once the cabbage is drained, you just need to addolive, vinegar and pepper.

ADVICES AND NOTES: You can use balsamic vinegar if you like. This is a basic and classic version, some people add spring onions or anything they like; feel free to experiment.
