Soft Sooji Balls

Soft, easy to eat, creatively crafted and yummy sooji balls recipe. It is an easy-to-make and modified version of the sooji Upma. Great as a healthy and tasty snack especially as a “finger food” for kids for the Tiffin as it is a non-messy, easy to carry and healthy snack food for all.

Soft, easy to eat, creatively crafted and yummy sooji balls recipe. It is an easy-to-make and modified version of the sooji Upma. Great as a healthy and tasty snack especially as a “finger food” for kids for the Tiffin as it is a non-messy, easy to carry and healthy snack food for all.
Steps

In a kadhai, heat 2 tsp Oil. Sauté chopped chilli and ginger.

Pour in 2.5 cups water.

Add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/3 cup grated coconut. Mix well.

Allow the water to boil rapidly.

Lower the flame, and add roasted rava little by little, stirring continuously.

Cover and cook for 3 mins or until the rava turns soft and fluffy.

Knead the dough for 5 mins and prepare small balls. Steam for 10 mins.

Take a Kadhai, heat 3 tsp oil. Add tempering ingredients.

Add 1/4 tsp. Each of turmeric, chilli powder and salt.

Now lightly add the steamed rava balls and mix gently.

Then add the chopped coriander leaves and squeeze 2 tsp lemon juice on top.
