Ingredients

3 servings
  • 1 and 1/2 cups sona masoori rice cleaned, washed, soaked in water for 20 minutes
  • 1medium potato chopped in 1"
  • 3medium tomatoes finely chopped
  • 2 cupsfinely cut veggies like capsicum, carrot, cabbage and beans
  • 1 tbspbutter
  • 1 tspolive oil
  • 1 tspbutter
  • 1 tspsahi zeera/ cumin seeds
  • 1green chilli minced
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tspminced garlic
  • 1/3 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1/2 tspchat masala
  • 1 tspcrushed kasoori methi
  • 1 tsppav bhaji masala
  • as neededSalt
  • 1 tsplemon juice
  • 2 and 1/2 cup water

Steps

  1. 1

    Take 1 tbsp butter and olive oil in a pressure cooker. Heat in low medium flame.

  2. 2

    Add sahi zeera and crackle. Fry onion and chopped green chilli till translucent.

  3. 3

    Add ginger, garlic and potatoes and cook for in low medium flame till rawness of garlic gone and potatoes half cooked.

  4. 4

    Mix chopped tomatoes, turmeric and salt. Cook till soft and mushy.

  5. 5

    Add rest of the dry masala and cook for a minute. Mix the chopped veggies now.

  6. 6

    Mix the soaked rice, water and 1 tsp butter, lemon juice.Mix everything well carefully so as to avoid breaking of rice.

  7. 7

    Bring to boil and cook for 1 whistle. Let the cooker release pressure.

  8. 8

    Serve hot, delicious and lipsmackin pulao to your family and friends. Thanks
