Steps

Chopped tomatoes,keep aside.

Make puree of tomatoes and garlic cloves. keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan,add fennel seeds,fenugreek seeds and hing.Add chopped onion and fry till golden.

Add chopped tomatoes,stir.Add water,cover and cook on low heat till soft.Mash well.

Add powdered spices,saute for 1minute Add tomato puree.Add water and salt.Cover the pan and cook on medium flame for 4-5 minutes so raw smell of garlic is gone.

Dissolve besan in water and add to the gravy.Stir well to avoid any lumping.Add water,stir continuously till boil,lower the flame.Cover partially to avoid oozing out of kadhi.Cook for 20minutes.

For tampering,heat oil in a tadka pan.Add cumin seeds and green chillies,cook till golden,add to kadhi.

Serve with hot steamed rice.
